Although not selected for the ICC Champions Trophy due to recent poor form, the experienced wicketkeeper-batter now takes on a crucial leadership role in the shortest format.
Having previously captained Bangladesh in four T20Is — including the 3-0 series win over West Indies in the Caribbean last year — Litton will officially start his new tenure with the upcoming two-match series against the UAE, followed by a five-match home series against Pakistan.

The BCB also announced a 16-man squad for both series, naming all-rounder Mahedi Hasan as Litton’s deputy.
