“Nahid Rana has withdrawn himself from the Pakistan tour. He is not going. Among the coaching staff, our fielding coach and trainer are also not going. The rest of the squad is prepared to travel,” Fahim stated.
This development comes despite Rana previously traveling to Pakistan to represent Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He returned without playing a match amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. Rana did not rejoin Zalmi due to Bangladesh’s commitments in the UAE.

The BCB has also confirmed that there will be no replacement named for Rana in the squad. Meanwhile, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who left mid-series against UAE to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL), will rejoin the national team for the Pakistan tour.
