Mustafizur, several others slip in T20I Rankings despite Pakistan series win

Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who was outstanding with the ball in the first two T20Is against Pakistan, has dropped out of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings Top 10 after missing the third and final match.

The left-arm seamer had climbed 17 places to return to the top ten for the first time since October 2021, but now finds himself at No. 12 with 646 rating points, slipping three spots.

Spinner Mahedi Hasan also dropped one place to No. 17, while fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib moved down one spot each, now sitting at No. 28 and No. 38, respectively. Despite not featuring in the last T20I, leg-spinner Rishad Hossain has maintained his position at No. 20.
Among batters, there has been a general dip in rankings for several key players. Towhid Hridoy remains Bangladesh’s top-ranked T20I batter at No. 39, with 545 rating points.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who had surged up 18 places thanks to a strong run of form, slipped five spots to No. 42, where he now shares the position with England’s Liam Livingstone, after failing to fire in the final match.

Captain Litton Das, who also had a quiet series with the bat, dropped another place to No. 46.
Despite being named Player of the Series for his contributions during the series win, Jaker Ali Anik dropped six places to No. 59 with 496 rating points, following a disappointing performance in the last match.
Parvez Hossain Emon also slid down three places, now ranked No. 66.
