The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revised its election schedule, making several key changes. Initially set for October 4, the election has now been postponed by two days. As per the new timetable, voting and result announcements will take place on October 6.

Earlier, the deadline for councilor nominations was set for September 17. However, the board extended it to September 19 at 4 p.m. through a press release. The date was later revised twice more, first to September 20, and then again to September 22.

According to the updated schedule, the final voter list will be published on September 25. Nomination forms will be distributed on September 26–27, and submissions must be completed by September 28. Scrutiny and the publication of the preliminary list will follow on September 29.

Candidates will be allowed to withdraw nominations until October 1, when the final list will be published. Election results will be announced on October 6 at 6 p.m.

The president and vice-president elections will take place later that evening at 7:30 p.m., with results expected by 9 p.m.

The race for BCB’s top post is already drawing significant attention. Current president Aminul Islam Bulbul has officially declared his candidacy, while former national captain Tamim Iqbal is also set to contest.
