The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended the USA Cricket (USAC) Board after months of warnings over governance issues.

Despite being given extra time following last year’s notice in Sri Lanka and a three-month extension at this year’s Singapore conference, USAC failed to implement transparent processes.

Complaints from leagues in New Jersey, Dallas, and Southern California highlighted conflicts of interest, questionable member validity, and flawed candidate selection ahead of elections.

Even the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) called for a board revamp, urging independent members to resign.

Chairman Venu Pisike resisted, reportedly influencing colleagues to stay, while tensions escalated further after USAC cut ties with Major League Cricket’s parent body, ACE.

Though USA’s 2026 T20 World Cup spot is safe, the ICC is expected to take decisive steps soon to stabilize American cricket ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
