Philander set to leave Tomorrow due to travel restrictions

Pakistan bowling consultant Vernon Philander will leave the squad tomorrow due to the spread of Covid-19 and the shutdown of flight operations for South Africa.

Initially, Philander was planned to leave the squad after the first Test but after the awakening of new covid-variant Omicron, the coach decided to leave early.

Many European nations and the USA have already announced travel restrictions to the region, including Asian nations proclaimed travel restrictions to six southern African countries, including Zimbabwe.

The situation in Zimbabwe and other southern African countries is believed to have worsened in recent days.

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed the news of this variant on November 24 in South Africa.
