Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against England, stated by Pakistan Cricket Board.
Rauf injured his thigh while fielding on the first day after stepping on the ball which led to a right quad strain. He did not bowl for the rest of the game but came out to bat scoring 12 and 0 in two innings.
The debutant was also picked apart by England’s batting lineup, just like the rest of the bowlers, giving up 73 runs in his 13 overs as the visitors reached a record-breaking total of 506 on just the first day.
The right-armer was sent for an MRI during the Test match and scans showed a grade two strain.

"A grade-II strain in right quad has ruled Haris Rauf out of the Test series against England," the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed in a release.
"The fast bowler underwent an MRI during the first day’s play of the Rawalpindi Test after he rolled over the ball while fielding. The scans and the subsequent assessment by the PCB medical panel concluded that the fast bowler suffered a grade-II strain,"
"Haris will travel to Lahore where he will begin his rehabilitation at the National High Performance Centre,"
The second Test between the two sides begins on December 9.
