Zimbabwe is set to arrive in Bangladesh on April 15 for the two-match Test series. However, there will be no practice match scheduled ahead of the series.

Following the schedule of last year’s Test series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has once again decided not to host a Test match at the country's premier venue, Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe.

The first Test will take place at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from April 20, while the second Test will be held at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, starting on April 28. Notably, this series is not part of the ICC World Test Championship.

This Test series was originally scheduled to take place last year but was postponed to accommodate a five-match T20I series as part of Bangladesh’s preparations for the T20 World Cup. Now, the postponed Test series is finally set to happen.

Zimbabwe last toured Bangladesh for a Test series in 2020, where the hosts secured a victory by an innings margin. Prior to that, Zimbabwe played four Test series in Bangladesh in 2001, 2005, 2014, and 2018.
