In an effort to improve the quality of local coaches, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to organize a special batting workshop in September titled the “Run Scoring Show.”

Mahmudullah Riyad will take part in the program, while Mushfiqur Rahim has declined the invitation despite being approached by the board.

The three-day workshop will begin on September 10 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur and run until September 12.
It will be conducted by Australian coach Ashley Ross, with Ian Reinsch assisting him. The initiative was confirmed recently by BCB’s game development manager, Nazmul Abedin Fahim.

Recognized as a specialist batting coach, Ross has been entrusted with guiding Bangladesh’s batting coaches. Around 20 players and coaches will join the workshop, including Mahmudullah, who retired from ODIs after the Champions Trophy earlier this year. With his playing career nearing its end, Mahmudullah is looking to step into coaching, confirmed by former Bangladesh captain Aminul Islam Bulbul back in June.

Mushfiqur, however, turned down the invitation, choosing to focus on his playing duties as he continues in Test cricket.
Other participants in the workshop include cricketers Shamsur Rahman Shuvo, Fazle Mahmud Rabbi, Nayeem Islam, Nazimuddin, and Marshall Ayub. Coaches set to take part are Mizanur Rahman Babul, Sohel Islam, Rajin Saleh, Nasiruddin Faruque, Tushar Imran, Hannan Sarkar, Mohammad Ashraful, and Jahangir Alam.
Alongside the batting workshop, BCB has also scheduled a Level-Three Coaching Course from September 15 to 19. For this program, Australian experts Ross Turner, Allan Campbell, and Geoff Lawson will be brought in. Aminul Islam Bulbul will also be involved. The course will also take place in Mirpur.
