BCCI: India’s Asia Cup participation still under discussion

Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha believes the current Bangladesh team is one of the best sides in history and believes the Tigers can do something special in the upcoming Asia Cup.
The Bangladesh team comprises a mix of young and experienced fold, players like Tawhid, Hridoy, Najmul Hossain Shanto will be backed by stalwarts Shakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim.
The coach stated that they have already started the blueprint for the upcoming Asia Cup and vying for the title.

“We have started the roadmap for Asia Cup, Bangladesh's side is among the best in its history. We have the best opportunity to do something that Bangladesh hasn't done before. Other teams would be preparing just as well. But we want to do things in our control,”
Hathurusingha also said Bangladesh will carry on batting on Day of the one-off Test and he was very satisfied with the performance of the team.
“If we have our say, we'd like to bat the whole day to see how we go in these conditions and because it's a one-off Test. So, no target at this stage. Very satisfying because when you're thinking of giving someone a debut, you need vision and take a lot of things into consideration. You gain confidence about your judgement and decision-making which I find satisfying,” he said.
