Bangladesh’s resistance crumbled within the first hour of Day 4 as they were bowled out for just 133 runs in their second innings, handing Sri Lanka a comprehensive victory by an innings and 78 runs to claim the two-match Test series 1-0.

Resuming the day at 115 for 6, Bangladesh lost Litton Das early in the second over. Having scored 14, he was caught by Kusal Mendis off Prabath Jayasuriya, who continued his dominance with the ball.

Nayeem Hasan, who remained unbeaten overnight, couldn't hold on for long either. He was stumped for 5, again off Jayasuriya, who then claimed his fifth wicket of the innings by dismissing Taijul Islam for 6, caught and bowled.
The final blow came from Tharindu Ratnayake, who trapped Ebadot Hossain leg-before for 6, ending Bangladesh’s innings at 133.

With this crushing victory, Sri Lanka win the second Test and the series 1-0, after the first Test in Galle ended in a draw.
