Bangladesh thrash Netherlands to clinch T20I series

Bangladesh defeated the Netherlands by nine wickets in the second T20 at Sylhet International Stadium to seal the series 2-0.

Opting to field after winning the toss, captain Litton Das’s side bowled out the visitors for 103 and chased the target comfortably in 13.1 overs.

In the first T20, Litton also chose to bowl after winning the toss, restricting the Netherlands to 136 runs and guiding Bangladesh to an eight-wicket win.
In the second match, the Dutch top order crumbled early. In the third over, left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed, included in the XI in place of leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, took two quick wickets. He later added another scalp, while Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed took two wickets each.

Opener Vikramjit Singh fell for 24 off 17 balls, hitting four boundaries, and fellow opener Max O’Dowd managed just 8 runs off 10 balls. Shariz Ahmed contributed 12 runs before getting out, leaving the Netherlands in trouble at 61 for 6 in 9.5 overs.
Aryan Dutt, who came in later, helped take the score past 100 with an unbeaten 30 off 24 balls, hitting three fours and a six.
Chasing a modest target, Bangladesh’s openers added 40 runs in 5.3 overs. Parvez Iqbal Emon contributed 23 off 21 balls, including three boundaries and a six, before departing.
Taniz Tamim and Litton then guided Bangladesh home. Taniz remained unbeaten on 54 off 40 balls with four fours and two sixes, while Litton scored an unbeaten 18 off 18 balls, hitting two boundaries.
