Bangladesh inform opener Liton Kumar Das said that he is well aware that real challenge lies ahead of him considering every moves he makes will be under scrutiny.
Liton Das is going through a purple patch as he scored career-best his 483 runs in his last five innings comprising with three ODI’s and two Twenty20’s that includes highest individual ODI’s score 176 along with another century in the 50-over format.
Liton was man of the series in both ODI’s and T20’s, but the right-hander believes now he will have to make sure that his form is not considered as some kind of a fluke.
“It’s not pressure, it’s like when you get something in your hand it’s easy to drop it down rather than holding it,’’ Liton told reporters at Mirpur on Wednesday.
‘’Right now it’s a challenge for me because I have to be consistent,’’ he said.
‘’From practice level to match, it will be tough time for me and I will try my best to hold this momentum and continue my performance like this, don’t know how much I will be successful but I will practice and try my best for this.” Liton said in the post match conference on Wednesday
Liton thinks ups and downs in cricket will remain always but despite that he have to perform well and to focus hard.
“One series goes well but if the next series gets bad then again disappointment will come back isn’t it like that. Ups and downs will remain,” he said adding that he is now more focused than before,
“I have performed before also. After playing a match I used to get relax where my focus got lost, like I got run in a match so I will get run in the next match also. But in this whole series if you see I think that every match is new and one ball is enough to get me out, so I was very much focused on every ball.
‘’From ball selection to shot choice, I didn’t played so much over head shot in the entire series it’s not like that. I was focused a little bit more which gives me today’s result,’’ he said.
