Bangladeshi cricketer should have the chance to talk about their mental health, it shouldn't be a taboo anymore.

Due to coronavirus pandemic cricketing world has been into standstill for quiet a long time. People all over the world became restless because of the lockdown, Bangladesh is no different. Players are the most fitness concern than others, they have to work hard to be fit and that's the reason many players are getting impatient due to the house arrest. But due to the taboo many players can't even express their mental health issues.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] on Saturday sent all their contracted and age-level players a set of guidelines they should follow to stay mentally and physically fit while they remained indoors during the global coronavirus pandemic.

BCB medical unit chief Debashis Chowdhury confirmed that they send new nine guideline to help the players combat the mental pressure the pandemic is causing.

But In Bangladesh speaking about mental health is considered as an excuse or that person is scared, said by the former ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza. Not only Mashrafe there are numbers of players who thinks that mental health should be discussed and not be consider as taboo.

Players get depressed, it can occur at any moment. Due to the lockdown many players are facing mental concussion, they should speak about it and find the sollution.

Mashrafe said in an interview to bdnews24 that, “Many people can get tired of being stuck in the house. However, mental health is not as important to us here. Our social reality is different. We don't have the opportunity here to talk about depression as Marcus Trescothick or Glenn Maxwell can. If someone says, he's not feeling good then we may assume he is scared or making an excuse. Many people even do not feel that way. Those who do, do not express or feel the need to do. Everyone should be careful here. But I don't think there will be much of a problem."

Tamim Iqbal the new skipper of ODI format also consider mental health as an important factor and he thinks this should be speak out.

“Mental health is an important factor. In our country, however, it is less important. But this should be noted. I might not have a problem but it could be for someone else. You have to understand it by yourself. Reading two lines of one's writing or having one's advice, most important is how I'm handling myself. You need to find a way to keep yourself busy and spend time with enjoyment. It varies to different people. But everyone have to," said Tamim Iqbal.

To Twenty20 skipper Mahmudullah mental health surely be a great problem, so to make yourself busy you have to do things you haven't done for many years and keep yourself busy with anything you can. His advise is to be busy with innovative with everyday work.

Mahmudulla said that, “The issue of mental health might not occur like that way right now. But Almighty forbid, suppose if we had to stay like this way for a month, then people might be exhausted. That's why from now on, everyone has to try to be safe. To be innovate in everyday work, to do something innovative, they have to think like this way. Someone may not read children's books for a long time, it might feel good to read them. You have to do different ways of doing things at this time.”

Depression might not occur to Soumya Sarkar but he really feels bad that he is unable to go to field, have practice or play a match. The left handed batsman expressed his feelings of how he sometimes looked at his bat and feels very bad about not getting any chance to have that on his hand and start hit shots.

Soumya said that, "Mental health is not discussed very much in our country but I think it is very important. Depression or disease may not occur at the moment, but it is normal to feel bad. Sometimes I feel like having a bad headache and restless. Me or my wife, nobody has the habit of staying home for such a long time. When have busy schedule of game, the mind wants to take some rest, still want to be out of with bat again if I am at home for one or two days. It's been a long time now."
