Bangladesh's Left handed batsman Soumya Sarkar been a top order in his whole career and he consider this place comfortable more than any other position he batted at.

Soumya Sarkar started his career as an opener then got dropped down to number three and now his batting position is sometimes five or six. But he prefer to be in the top order lineup but then again he is trying to prove himself and get his place marked.

"I've played top order all my life I feel more comfortable here. But when the team needs, then there is nothing to do," He said

Apart from his batting position Soumya discussed about the batting mentality that the way he have to understand the strength and weaknesses of the bowler he is suppose to face as a top order batsman, the same way he also have to use his strength on the bowlers as well.

He said that, "As a top order batsman, I have to bat with a few things keeping in my mind. Never thought that way. But yes, I definitely have to understand the strength and weakness of a bowler as I bat above, especially the pacers. However, I always try to use my strength area."

Soumya in his last four T20 matches in this year scored 94 runs where against Pakistan he played two innings batted at number five and six and scored seven and four runs where, against Zimbabwe batted at number three he scored match winning 62 from 32 ball and in the last match scored 20 from 16 balls.

He also seemed handy with his right arm medium pace bowling for Bangladesh team. And he is also looking forward to focus on his this area. As a part time bowler he got 14 wickets in his 50 T20 matches so far.

"I have been bowling ever since I played cricket. But I have always batted as a top order batsman. I always used to do some bowling. However, did not come into focus like that way. But if I pay attention, work differently with bowling then I might be in focus. I think I will focus more on bowling in future. So that the team can trust on me."
