Sri Lanka will depart on May 16 to play a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh which is part of the ICC ODI Super League. Meanwhile, two Sri Lankan cricketers have tested positive for coronavirus in the preliminary squad before coming to Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka fast bowling all-rounders Dhananjaya Lakshan and Ishan Jayaratne tested positive on Saturday and have been put into quarantine for 14 days.
However, Lakshan and Jayaratne were not part of the Sri Lanka squad that was set to leave for Bangladesh on 16 May for a three-match ODI series in Dhaka.

Earlier, Shiran Fernando had contracted Coronavirus. The compulsory quarantine of this young fast bowler ended on May 8. As a result, Fernando has no problem coming to Bangladesh.

Young opener Avishka Fernando has been dropped from the squad named for the Bangladesh series as he has failed a fitness test.
“He will not be traveling to Bangladesh but we have included him in the preliminary squad for the England series to train with the rest of the players,” chief selector Pramodya Wickramasinghe said.
Sri Lanka will have to stay in quarantine for three days after setting foot in Bangladesh. All the matches of the series will be played in the biological safety zone.
