Bangladesh to start practice on 27th Aug after three-day quarantine

Bangladesh cricket team are all set to begin their practice from Friday [August 27], however, they have to undergo three-day mandatory quarantine before taking the field, confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician Debashish Chowdhury.
Debashish in a video message said that Bangladesh cricketers, management team and match officials will enter the bubble on 24 August.

“Bangladesh team players and management team, match officials will enter the bubble from the 24th after completing the room quarantine on the 22nd and 23rd. Two members of the New Zealand inspection team arrived in Bangladesh on the 17th, and another member arrived on the 20th (August),” said chief physician Debashish.
“On the 20th, two New Zealand players arrived from England. Everyone is still in the hotel, observing their room quarantine. The hotel authorities will explain the management of the hotel to the BCB and New Zealand today,” he said.
On 22nd and 23rd August, every member will be tested for Covid-19. After the start of quarantine from August 24, everyone will have to take two more corona tests.
“The New Zealand team is coming to Bangladesh on the 24th. The Bangladesh team and the New Zealand team as well as those who are there to conduct the game will be quarantined in the rooms for three days on the 24th, 25th and 26th at the hotel. These three days there will be two covid test. Based on the result, they will be able to come out of the bio bubble on the 27th. They can start their practice and other activities,” he added.
