Sri Lanka's cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh in May, according to the ICC's Future Tour Plan (FTP). The fixture has been revealed as well. However, given the present tumultuous scenario in the island nation, the series is in jeopardy.
But Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury has declared that the series will be played on time.

"As per the discussions between the two boards, they will arrive in Bangladesh on time, the series will go ahead as scheduled. The SLC has promised us so" said Nizam Uddin Chowdhury to media on Tuesday.

The SLC has postponed the Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team's travel to Sri Lanka, despite the fact that Sri Lanka would tour Bangladesh. The CEO of BCB announced that the series would be rescheduled.
Moreover, the Asia Cup will be held in Sri Lanka for the following edition as well. If the SLC is unable to host the event, Nizam Uddin Chowdhury stated that the BCB will consider expressing interest.
"As of now, the SLC is supposed to host the tournament. Let them decide. If they aren't able to host the tournament, then we'll see," he added.
