Rangpur bags Pakistan’s Nawaz for BPL 2023

Rangpur Riders, owned by Bashundhara Group's Toggi Sports Limited has bagged Pakistan left-arm all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023.
Earlier today, The Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies have agreed to postpone the three-match T20I series, which was due to take place in January 2023 in Pakistan, to the first quarter of 2024, which will help BPL franchises to grab other big names from Pakistan.

According to reports, Rangpur are in talks with Shoaib Malik and pacer Haris Rauf from Pakistan wirh all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai from Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, another franchise Sylhet Strikers has already signed three Sri Lankan stars Kamindu Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, Thisara Perera, along with former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir.
Sylhet has also named veteran Mashrafe bin Mortaza as their icon player for the biggest T20 tournament of the country.
The 43-day long BPL will get underway on January 5 next year with the grand finale scheduled for February 16.
