India thrashed Bangladesh by seven wickets in the third T20I to sweep the five-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana put together 91 runs for the opening wicket in the chase of a mediocre 118 runs. Shefali scored the highest 51 off 38 which featured eight boundaries.
Smriti fell short of three runs to complete a half-century as she scored 47 in 42 aided by five 4's and a solitary six.

Harmanpreet and Richa Gosh then took the team to the port of victory sparing nine balls.

Earlier, Bangladesh women’s posted 117-8 in the stipulated 20 overs after being invited to bat first. Opener Dilara Akter played the top-scoring knock of 39 runs which propelled the side to a defensive total.
The host made a strong start by amassing a 46-run partnership for the first wicket during the first powerplay. Dilara scored 27-ball 39 with five boundaries.
Skipper Nigar Sultana Joty also scored a crucial 28 off 36 hitting a single boundary. Sobhana Mostary also contributed with 15 runs.
Radha Yadav picked up two wickets for India while others took one each.
