27 Mar 25Comilla registered a commanding 33-run win against Dhaka Dominators in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, on Thursday.
Despite Nasir Hossain's fighting knock of 66 runs Dhaka fell short of 33 runs as they managed to score 151-4 in 20 overs in reply to the 185 target.
Nasir top-scored for his side with 66 in 45 deliveries with seven 4's and two sixes. Mohammad Mithun played a cautious innings of 36 runs.
Ahmed Shezad began the chase but got removed early while Ariful Haque remained unbeaten on 24 runs off 17 balls.

Hasan Ali, Mosaddeq Hossain and Tanvir Islam took one wicket each for Comilla.
Batting first, Khusdil Shah fired with a stormy half-century as Comilla posted 184-4 in 20 overs. Opener Litton Das was castled by Taskin Ahmed early for a naught after consecutive fifties in two matches.
Following Litton’s (0) dismissal, wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and captain Imrul Kayes stitched a 47-run partnership for the second wicket. Imrul scored 33 as he returned with a catch to Robin Das off Nasir Hossain.
Comilla lost another batter Johnson Charles for 20 but Rizwan remained unbeaten and converted his sensible knock to maiden fifty of the season.
Comilla were on 100-3 after 15 overs, but the game took a speedy turnaround when Khusdil smashed 64 off just 24 balls, featuring seven 4’s and five 6’s while adding 84 runs with Rizwan.
